there's a new dance trend sweeping TikTok, and I, ever the enthusiastic (and slightly clumsy) participant, decided to give it a whirl.
Now, this dance wasn't your average bop-and-sway routine. It involved some intricate footwork, a healthy dose of hip-hop attitude, and enough spinning to make you slightly dizzy (just me?). I spent a good hour in front of the mirror, flailing my limbs and muttering curses under my breath. Progress was slow, but hey, I was getting there! Just as I finally strung together a somewhat decent sequence, a furry blur came barreling into the room.
That's Bo, my adorable (and slightly mischievous) Shih Tzu. He must have sensed my newfound confidence because suddenly, I was his personal jungle gym. He weaved between my legs, yipped excitedly at my flailing arms, and did his best impression of a breakdancer himself (furry belly rolls included).
Needless to say, filming went out the window. My attempts at capturing my (somewhat improved) dance moves were quickly replaced with a flurry of giggles and cuddles with Bo. And you know what? It was the perfect ending.
Here's the thing: while I may not have mastered the viral dance du jour, I got something far more valuable – a reminder of the pure, unadulterated joy that dogs bring into our lives. Bo's enthusiasm, his complete lack of judgment (even at my most awkward dance moves), and his overflowing love were what truly made my day.
Because let's face it, we humans don't deserve dogs. Their loyalty, their boundless energy, and their unconditional love are gifts we should cherish every single day. So, here's to Bo, my personal dance critic and the undisputed winner of my heart (and probably the dance challenge too, if we're being honest).
