Hey everyone! It's time for another "Today I Honor" video
@jennieberrie Hey everyone, it's Jenn and @Sweet JennJenn Today I have a timelapse of @Sattman22's drawing. This one took slightly less time at 4 hours. Here's a little behind-the-scenes look: While making the video, I considered Metallica's Enter Sandman, specifically the legendary intro, but it was too long for the "Today I Honor" video. My other choices were Thunderstruck, Welcome to the Jungle, and Knockin' on Heaven's Door. After an hour of indecision, I scrolled through some nostalgic 80s movies and stumbled upon Tom Cruise's Risky Business dance scene. So, I went with old-time rock & roll! He slides in, and I slide in too on all my videos, so it was meant to be. The only difference is that I slided in the opposite way, just like Tom does, which is a new twist for my intro videos. The other new addition was a clothes transition. I wanted to come in in pajamas, but still be at least presentable for the rest of the video. Sattman22, or Josh, thanks for making your followers smile with nostalgic Gen X "isms," reminding us of the wonderful experiences we had as children, the dances we used to dance, and the songs we sang. With more props than I'll ever have for my skits! Even though I'm an Xennial myself, I grew up with Boomer and GenX siblings, so I know and miss the simpler days. Have a wonderful week, everyone! A Timelapse with a Twist
This time, I created a timelapse of Sattman22's artwork, clocking in at a swift 4 hours. But the fun doesn't stop there! While working on the video, a soundtrack battle royale ensued in my head. Metallica's "Enter Sandman" initially took the lead, but its legendary intro proved a tad too long. Other contenders like "Thunderstruck," "Welcome to the Jungle," and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" also had their moments.
Enter Risky Business and a New Intro
After an hour of indecision, inspiration struck – a trip down memory lane! Stumbling upon Tom Cruise's iconic dance scene in Risky Business, the missing piece clicked into place. Old-school rock & roll perfectly captured Sattman22's nostalgic Gen X vibes. Plus, there's a certain "sliding in" synergy – a signature move in both my intros and Tom's scene.
