All noble goals. Now factor in my brain, a mischievous imp with a penchant for vocal acrobatics. The result? Prompter presentations that morph into one-person improv shows, complete with questionable accents.
It starts innocently enough. Teleprompter in hand, I take a deep breath, channeling my inner news anchor. The first few lines roll out smoothly, my voice a paragon of corporate calm. Then, it hits me. A word. Maybe "logistics" or "exponential growth."
The next thing I know, I'm not just reading the script, I'm performing it.
By the end, the message is a mangled mix of corporate jargon and theatrical Welsh pronouncements. I sheepishly relinquish the prompter, vowing silent apologies to both Mrs. Henderson and the sanctity of professional presentations.
